Andrew Hetzel - Managing Director Paragon Fleet Solutions

Describe your role.

I manage the day-to-day operations at Paragon Fleet Solutions. Recognising the changing requirements of our customers is a crucial aspect of the job – enabling us to help our customers sell more vehicles at maximum value.

What is your background?

Until April 2011, I was Group Finance Director for Paragon with overall responsibility for the Group’s financial management. Prior to this, I held several senior financial management positions.

What skills are required for the role?

I am responsible for a large team across a number of workshops and a large administration team. As such, I need good organisational skills and the ability to plan for the future. Focusing on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high performance levels are crucial.

What is your favourite aspect of the job?

I really enjoy working with our employees to deliver a high quality service to our customers – vehicle manufacturers, leasing and daily rental companies. Working with these organisations means that my job is diverse and, as a business, we are exposed to a wide range of challenges every single day.
